Nice! I just bought my first 56.

Very very nice. I just got my first 56 last month. F100 bone stock long bed but with a '74 390. The 3sp has to go! Didn't think I would like the LB, but it's growing on me, just looks like a cool red work truck. I do want to change the fuel tank under the bed. How did you do yours? Good luck, looks great

Gosh, too bad you it wasn't in the background of your "tune up" shots. Sent you a pm Chuck.

Question

I like the parking lights and the louvered hood. My REAL question is what is that color peeking out of the interior?

Thanks, The paint is 96 ford ultra violet or purple with metallic and pearl and then a clear coat. Way over my skill so I found out. I also rounded the bottom of the headlights.

Joe, I set up a album.

Nice job Chuck! I like it. There is an effie running around Sacramento that has a similar paint job except the interior and the grill are gloss black. Kinda gives it an evil Darth Vader look. Thanks for sharing. Jag

Just four years!! Boy am I in trouble. I bought mine about 2 weeks before we went to the 03 Super Nats, and started the teardown shortly after. So far I'm working on sheet metal and have the front suspension done. I think it will take me 8-10 years at the present pace.

Mechmagn,

"I think it will take me 8-10 years at the present pace."

You say that like it's a long time or something.....

Perfection takes time....so does getting the money to pay for the parts...
