New 4R75E transmissions on newer F-150's

Ford or GM have not designed a new from scratch rear wheel drive electronic automatic transmission ever thats available to the public.
The 4R70W/4R75's are nothing but AOD's. It went like this, They built the AOD, then decided to turn it into an electronically controlled transmission and renamed it AODE (E stands for electronic), they redesigned the solenoids and some of the electrical components and renamed it the 4R70W, now they have redesigned some more of the electrical components and renamed it the 4R75E or what ever it is. The basic trans (case, gear train) are the same thing that the old non-electronic AOD trans had. You can use the same filter and pan gasket that went in the old AOD's.
Like wise with the old E4OD transmission, which has been renamed the 4R100.
The 5R55 transmission are Mazda built, Ford uses them in Ranger/Bseries Mazda's, Explorer's, Lincoln LS's, Jaguar S-Types, and the new Range Rover. They no longer have dipsticks, they do however have a plug where the hole for the dipstick still exists in the case, and they still have trans pan's, and filters.
As for GM it went something like this, 700R4 became the 4L60E which still exists, its just a 700R4 with electronics added.
So basically they hare using 15-20+ year old designed transmission, and now they are saying you don't have to service them? I'm servicing mine every 30k I don't care what Ford or anyone else says. Trans fluid breaks down just like any other fluid that is subjected to pressure, heat, and contaminants.

I have an '07 supercab 4x4. I checked with the dealer and it has the 4r75e. The user manual does have service intervals listed for it. My manual says that its sealed for life, but under normal driving conditions to service the transmission at 150k or under severe conditions or if you tow to service at 30k. I have always operated under the philosophy of "oil is cheap, parts aint" so i follow the severe schedule for everything. Btw I have done the transmission service on my f150 already and it does have a filter. even the 5r55 in the mustangs and explorers that dont have a dipstick still have a filter and removable pan.
