9"rear end from a Merc XR7

I know this guy who has a 9" rear end from a Mercury Cougar XR7 it measure 64" from the front of the hubs across; I haven't made any measurements yet to compare the length with my truck 55 F100; has anyone used one of these rear ends before? I read the tech articles however, I didn't see it mentioned any help would be great.

I have used these and it's not all that expensive to narrow them.

At approx. 3 inches wider than the stock rear end, you will have minor offset issues. You can either narrow the rear end or order your wheels with modified backspacing.

I do believe they are the same; 5 on 4 1/2 pattern.

Even some of the early 80 F100's were of the small wheel bolt patterns.

From the center of the tread to the center of the tread on my original 48 F-3 rear end, it is 64.5 inches. I'd say it should fit fine...
