Does anyone know what size speakers are in the 2000XLT Expies with the stock premium system? I know in the back there are 2-10" sub-woofers. What size are the ones in the rear passenger doors. Also, what size are the ones in the front passenger doors. Would anyone also know what wattage they are.
I am thinking of upgrading my speakers and would like to know the sizes to get.

The speakers are 5x7/6x8, extra crappy. Anything is a better upgrade than the factory ones. Also, the woofer is an 8" 2ohm sub in the back.

 

Will 6x9 fit in the 6x8 spot?

 

Nope, it won't. The 6x9 is quite a bit bigger. You can get some really nice sounding 6x8s though,.

 

okay. thanks. Someone bought 6x9, 6x8, and 10" subs. Oh well,no prob, I'll return them.

 

Watch speaker depth, particularly if you are reusing the stock rear door locations. Zero potential for a speaker deeper than stock.
