4x4 not working, no power to switch and new motor issues

so this is my little sister in laws truck it’s a 98 4.0 automatic and when u key on the 4x4 high and low light flashes but nothing when I turn the switch. Checked all fused and the switch is not getting power and dos have ground. So where do I look up stream? And the new motor I got dosnt have the big wire that goes inside the t case.

go here BBB Industries- Premium Alternators, Starters, Power Steering Products | BBB Industries- Premium Alternators, Starters, Power Steering Products and make a user name and password,,,,then go to wiring diagrams and put in your truck,,,,and go to electrical dist then sub system power dist,,,,as you will see this works for a lot of years makes and models of cars and trucks,,,,save to desktop or bookmark,,,,and share

sorry link kind of works,,,,click link then go to technical info and use drop down list and go to TSB and wiring diagrams and make user name and password,,,then put in your truck and engine and do as above in my other post

That’s a cool site but dos anyone know where the switch gets its power from before I start another account

there is a battery saver relay on some models that has a LG/O ( i assume light green and orange wire) to electric shift control,,,,not sure if that is wire your after and out of battery saver relay it goes to fuse panel ,,,TY wire ( i assume tan yellow),,,,, there is also a transmission control switch that has a P/O wire ( i assume pink orange) that goes to fuse panel,,,,see if it has either of those,,,,those should be hot with KOEO

Yeah that’s the same wiring diagram I found at work. But it’s odd I’m getting 2 sores of power

Ok it’s fixed. I scanned it for factory p1 codes and long story short I wasn’t getting power to the switch because the pcm couldn’t read where the electric motor was with the broke position wheel
