How fast???
I had my sisters 2003 lighting a few weeks ago and got to 137 MPH.
It would'nt go any faster boost was all the way and tach was about 4000.
She took the her cover off the bed so I dont know if that would have helped.
Its bone stock no mods. Very scared of someone pulling out in front of me.
Anyone else get faster?

I had my stock 04 burried at 140 on the interstate early one morning with no traffic. I had the tonneau on, the antenna removed, and the mirrors pulled in. It's very scary to go that fast in a truck on an open highway!
I've been in my brother's not so stock porche gt2 on the same stretch of highway at close to 200mph and I felt very safe harnessed into the passenger seat with a roll cage wrapped around me except everything outside the car was a blurr!

stock lightnings are governed at 142 m.p.h. once you get a chip it clears that.last year i was on the freeway cruisin with some friends(on the way to the track of course lol)turboed viper,sn95 mustang with procharger, caddilac sts and me lightning.we all nailed it and me and the viper started pulling then about 140 he started pulling me.i felt pretty good seing how i am driving a brick.anyway a couple times of that i let the caddie get ahead of me because his speedo goes to 170.and i still went by him and he was at 160.so i would say i was praboly around 165.
