I was checking out the Ford truck JC Whitney catalog today and found a crapload of great Ford truck parts. If your truck is as beat up as mine then you would appreciate the stuff they have and the prices are amazing.
kinda have to shop with care though. my friend got a new front origional style bumper for his 79 its closer to a tin than a steel can bend the edges with my hands.
The ONLY time I buy something from JC Whitless is when they can beat the other guys price on a national name-brand item,ie. Crane, Mallory, Hooker, etc. Been burned too many times by the cheap junk the tend to sell!
That's a fact!! Everything I have ordered from J.C. Whitney has been sub standard, poorly made, not correct or just plain import junk. The metal parts are flimsy, the so called 'chrome' peels off, the plastic parts look like they were super heated or melted or cracked. I spent more time and money returning items that it was worth. If the dealer has the part, swallow your pride and pay the extra to get OEM. One example, I bought a replacement grill (chrome plastic)it looked fine for about a week, then peeled and tarnished. I should have spent the additional $60 to get an original. Lessions learned!
