will a bigger throttle body make a difference?
this is for my 95 f150 5.0 4wd. Will a bigger bore throttle body give any performance gain? The only engine mods to the truck now are long tube headers, and i will be installing 1.7 roller rockers in the spring or after hunting season. I put one on my jeep 4.0 when I had it,and it made the engine a little more peppy and it had better throttle response. Just wondering if it would make a difference on my engine before I spend the money on one. thanks!!

the rest of the airflow package has to be up to par as well, otherwise your biggest results will be measured in tenths of a hp or mpg rather than something more noticable.
the bigger TB might be good to do in tandem with the 1.7 RRs. E7s wont really flow any more air, but more power will be felt because of the longer duration. Opening up the intake along with your already opened up exhaust, and with the 1.7s, should be noticable.
So i would say, buy one and keep it on the shelf until you do the 1.7s

Keep in mind that air velocity can affect cylinder fill, torque, and volumetric efficiency. A bigger throttle body will mean slower moving air on a relatively stock motor, probably wont be of any help at truck rpms. If you had high perf heads and a stroker dsplacement you might see a benefit.
