Question Trans swap in 64 F-250

My boss bought a 64 F-250 2wd over the summer. We are going to put a 306 SBF in it and he wants to keep it stick. We removed the original 6 popper and 4 speed. The bellhousing will not fit the 306 so I was wondering if there is another bellhousing that would be a replacement for the 6 cyl one. We would like to try and use the original mounting location if possible. He is going to the aftermarket for the motormounts and frame brackets. If it is not possible to use the original mount location for the bellhousing could you forum members point us in the correct direction. The original driveshaft is a 2 piece that bolts to the trans.

to make a change like this you have to change everything.you will have to mount your motor in the centerand your trans at the rear.you can buy a crossmember for this swap.
