Question Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm adjustment

I have just installed a new Edelbrock Performer series 289 intake, a 2" inch spacer, and a 1406 carb with electric choke on my "84 302. It runs Great! I have noticed that after you run it for a while it still wants to idle faster than what should. Also this carb has never been adjusted, took it straight out if the box and bolted it right up! Any suggestions?

Chris

not a suggestion, just a thought, but isnt a 1406 a 750cfm with electric choke?? i have a 1407, its 750 with manual choke, and was told that the 1406 was the electric choke version.

The 1406 is a 600 CFM carb with automatic choke. I'm running the 1405 which has the manual choke. As far as adjustments, I would go to the Edelbrock website. They have a great illustrations on step by step proper adjustments and dialing in on the carb.
