With the new 6.4TT will the body look like the spy photos, tonka concept or something completely different(I was hoping a chevy avanlanche look alike )?
i hope it looks like the tonka concept that Toby Keith drove in one of his video's. that was sweet. i dont like the spy photos, too Boxy, and that horrendous low front bumper.
Yeah, I agree about that low bumper. I'm all about safety, and compatablility with other vehicles on the road. I mean, I understand the thinking but yuck. I suppose that is why the 05/06 MY went to the bolder front end, to make an easier transition to the 07 style. I wonder if I'll be able to find a totalled 07 Super Duty in a wrecking yard in a couple of years and do an engine swap into my 05? Hmmm....Nah, not unless the 6.4 turns out to be a REEEAL good (and reliable) runner.
I like the subtle design changes. The hood line has raised to make it look more like a truck, and we all know that the body on these things look great. Just against the low bumper...easily fixed with the aftermarket.
I hoped u guys picked up on the avalanche sarcasm, the spy photo subtle changes would be nice, and the Tonka change would be substantial. Like recent mustangs, different, but they grow on you like a fungus.
I heard, new engine 07' and new body 08' from a buddy who has a fleet and recently the sales man. and others came to his shop to try and move some 05's. Seems things were pretty slow with the high price of fuel.
I was reading a Truck Trend magazine at Barnes and Nobles and it had a picture/sketch of the new crew cab Super Duty. The back window had a convex/bowed look to it plus the rear doors were suicide, not the standard front hinge...Any body else see this? I tired to look on their web site, but couldn't find it..
With the '07 SDs nose being raised to look more like a truck you have to think for a second. Look how many big trucks have sloped noses for safety reasons. The International 4300 series trucks and the new Freightliner M2 Business Class trucks. Just to name a few. The whole idea of a big, boxy, tall truck appears to be fading slightly IMO. The hood lines aren't so tall anymore. I think it;s kind of stupid though. If you hit a truck doing 60 or faster, you're gonna be hurtin' no matter what!
