Has anyone made it through the wind storm with min. damage? out here in windsor there were a lot of homes without power and tree damage here and there. My house and property was fine once again without interuptions and such
Here in Sarnia the winds got up to about 100 KM/H. There was some tree damage (good for my dad) and a bunch of signs fell over. My power didn't really go out. It was basically a brown out. The lights were dim and some low-powered appliances worked, others didn't.
The winds were pretty bad in Mississauga, but my house was fine, my lawn furniture didn't get blown away although my Recycle bins got tossed around. But when I was out and about the wind blew my driver door back onto me, I twisted out the way but I think I wrenched my back in the process, hurts like hell.
I was in Ajax yesterday in the evening. There was enough wind to make it howl. The power went out in the area where I was, but we could see that all around us was still lit. The power came back on after about 15 minutes.
AL.
Mississauga seems to be fine, but there's a street light that got turned around 90 degrees on Confederation, one of those 'r' shaped ones. There was a pretty big wreck on the QEW at Hurontario, probably because of the winds. I noticed that, driving back from Orillia, no one seemed to want to drive in the centre lane.
WELL...I made it thru the WIND pretty good, just a few tree branches fell off. BUT the main thing was I lost power for 2 hours and it had to happen with 100 laps left in the NASCAR race!!!
Just swerved a lot on the 401 & 402. No power out at our house, but there was a few blips in Strathroy where we were in the morning. A couple small branches from our neighbours' tree in our back yard, which happens after any kind of breeze.
That wreck on the QEW, is that why the WB 401 from Toronto was an absolute zoo on Sunday night?

Nope, it's like that every sunday night. One of the reasons I want to get out of the GTA. My son lives in Ottawa and the worst part of visiting is driving across toronto to get there and get back.

Ouch It was quite an impressive finish for the Ford/Roush boys too.

After the power came back on my brother and I checked out Speed channel to see who won. Both of us were really happy who won and how most of the Roush drivers did great!!!!!

Seemed worse than normal to me. Oh well, got off in Milton, got a coffee, and took back roads home. Didn't save any time, but saved a lot of sanity.
