Well--someone has to be the real Old- Fart of the group--and I guess that would be me. Hell- I can remember when most movies were in black and white and when there were no color TVs and there were only three channels for TV!! I can remember when Kennedy was the president in the White House!! It seems just like yesterday.
I predate the Ford overhead V8--the Y-block. I am physiologically a 1951 model ( I cant believe it neither)--but am a 1975 model mentally--that counts also--right??
And Yes--this old fart likes the old trucks. I could have bought a brand new truck last year--but just dont like the "jelly bean" look of the new trucks. I like the classically look of our vintage trucks--with their aero headlights and square grills and bodies and their classical side vent windows!! What other vehicle has side vent windows --that is less then twenty years old!!
When I was a kid--I always thought that the sure sign of being a Old Fart is when one thinks that the old stuff was better than the new stuff being sold.
And as a kid--I couldnt understand why these old farts kept their old trucks and cars for years and years and wouldnt buy new. Now I understand!
Well--I guess somehow I finally got to the OLD FART stage of my life .And my old well kept truck loves me for it!!

Well, I guess since I am a 44 model (war production) I am the oldest fart yet. Yes, I predate even tv. I remember when 3/8th by 3/8th flatheads with 3 carbs were the hot setup. Actually you are only as old as you feel. Most of the time I am 30 something but lately............ Counting the days untill I can tell my job GOOD BY for ever (188 days).
