Very deep tone, but it lets you know you have a V8. My neighbor has a magnaflow on his and he likes the sound of my Borla setup better.

mhoney, awesome info. I can't tell you how much time, and even more aggravation, you've saved those of us who are planning on doing this. Did you get the dual system or the single exit?

Can you describe the differences between the Magnaflow sound and the Borla sound? Thanks!

Dual System. I have an 05 and I wonder if the 04s had this locking pin or not. The instructions from Borla did not say anything about this pin.

Found more Borla soundbites (not mine, of course). These MOV files sound louder than reality to me. Nonetheless, they're pretty cool. Courtesy of 04 RED LARIAT:

From ChrisAdams:
Magnaflow is a brand, not a muffler or exhaust. I point this out because folks seem to think all the Magnaflows are the same. I had the short loud one on my truck, and unless you are deaf you won't like it. It's for guys that wish they had an open exhaust, but the police won't let them. The twenty four inch muffler is better, loud when I nail it, but I can listen to the CD without having to jack the sound up. On any slight grade I can tell it is back there.

So, a 14" will be the loudest ... followed by 18" and then 24".

Talking

Feel free to add to my reputation (the scale in the upper right corner of my last post). Hahahaha! This is kind of an inside joke with the administrator of this forum. I cannot elaborate any more than that.
