A pillar guages
I was looking around for an A pillar guage pod, but to my dismay i found nothing for the 80-86. Has anyone found any? but i did find some for the 87-91 I was thinking that they should fit Np, but does anyone know for sure. I need to put in a voltmeter, temp, and oil guages that actually have numbers, just dont wanna hack the dash up real bad. and i dont want to put in a little metal thing under the dash to hold me guages at all...they get messed up in deeeep water.. ...

That is the one I put on mine! It doesn't fit super well, but it does fit! I used industrial velcro to hold it to the post instead of those pins. The width and length of the pod is just fine, the problem is it doesn't follow the form of the pillar, thus you have a gap at the top of it. The pillar forms to it until the pillar cuts back towards the windscreen. It really doesn't look that bad, and with a little work you could make a matching plug.
Hope that helps! Oh, it was made by Autometer and I used their guages in it as well (electric temp and mechanical oil). If you use the mechanical oil guage you will need to get a much longer line, mine is about 10 feet.

I was looking for one also. I did notice that my LMC catalog has a few, but just like you said not for the 80-86. I think they would still fit pretty good there is not much difference in the two cabs. They have a 3, and a 2 pod setup.
