Just Bought a leftover 05 F150

Hey guys I'm really happy. The wife and I went out looking at trucks today being that our lease will end soon. Well we went down to the dealer just to look at prices, isn't that what we all say. I was looking for a leftover 05 FX4 model. They had alot of them on the lot I would say they had about 20 left. The wife and I were walking around and saw a couple that caught our eye. We looked at this one and the MSRP was 39,098. My eyes nearly bugged out of my head. So we kept on walking and saw this one in the corner. It's a 05 FX4 with the 5.4, that is Dark Shadow Grey Clearcoat Metallic. I said I have to look at this one. Walked up to it and the sticker was 35,150. Not too bad, and get this on the truck it already has ventvisors and bed extender bugshield and a Westin Bull bar with skidplate. Truck has 3 miles on it.

This is what the truck has,,,,

5.4L V-8
Engine Block heater
3.73 w/LSD
Pwr Adjustable Pedals
AM/FM stereo w/6 disc in dash cd player
deluxe mirror package
bed liner

When I saw this rig my mouth dropped. We looked at all of the other ones and they had some other options but were way to expensive. So we decided on this one. After all the incentives and my X-Plan prices I got this for 26,200. I can't wait until I pick this up next monday. I test drove a 06 xlt with the 4.6L and to tell you the truth that ones has alot of pep for a pretty big truck. I really like the way the grille looks on the FX4 models. I was also quite pleased with the amount of room you have in the back with it being a super cab and all. Now i just can't wait until I can start driving this thing. Well actually after we pick this one up it will sit in the driveway for about 1 1/2 months until our lease is up. That way we use up the lease, after all we are paying for it. Well you will be hearing from me some more on the likes of this truck

I have had my 05 F150 for almost 2 months, and i can't be happier with it. I looked at every full sized truck on the market, andin terms of quality the Ford and the Nissan where the only tow i condicered. The nissan was faster, but the ford has better build quality. I bought the Ford. Plus with the "family pricng" i got a smoking deal. Good luck.

New Truck

Thanks guys, I've been reading on this site for awhile being that I also own a 04 Explorer. I love reading everyones respones to all the questions. I just can't wait until I get my new truck . This is my first new truck, every other car we have bought the wife would get and I would get the older car. NOT THIS TIME. THIS ONE IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now all I have to do is do a search and find out which exhaust i want to put on it.

Truck

Well guys I just picked my truck up today and it's great. The only problem was the battery was a little weak. They put a new battery in it and she's great. I unlocked the truck and noticed that the headlights came on and stayed on for alittle while. After reading the book I disabled the entry illumination feature. So now the headlights do go on but the interior lights do. Just what I wanted. The only thing that annoys my wife is when she doesn't have the seatbelt on just to go right down the street the dam seatbelt thing dings to no end. I think I can disable that also just like in my explorer. I'll post pics tomorrow and tell me what you guys think. I can't wait to drive it some more.

Congratulations on your truck.

Also, tell your wife most accidents happen "right down the street".

I second this. The procedure for disabling the seatbell alarm can be found in your owners manual. Hope to hear great things about your truck in the future. As for exhaust, you might want to use the search function, and the term 'bassani'. That is what I run, and cannot be happier. I did link to sound clips in one of the past threads. You should be able to find it via searching. Good luck!

It's not just a Datsun any more, it's a FRENCH Datsun (a large share of the company is owned by Renault which is owned in large part by the French government).

Oh, so that explains why they are even more of a piece of crap than before the dropping of the Datsun name.

I just picked one up last night. Not much of a selection left. Chrome wheels, undersized General Tires. We got the color she wanted and the mechanical options I wanted at lest, and it was CHEAP, so we'll by some rims and tires...
