The biggest problem with our Border gaurds is they don't seem to be respected by our Federal Government or other beaurocrats.

That's another thread though.

Yes, the hard-working attitude they display, similar to that of pre-teen spoiled brats, certainly should command more respect.

They have difficulties galore, too, with a fat high-paying union job, terrific pensions, and great benefits.

Poor, poor souls.

I wish for them the same fate as the hard-done-by employees, with the same friendly work ethic, of Canada Post, ALCB and Alberta Motor Vehicles, before them.

lol, the really commie's are the guys that have never worked at a land crossing or up from mexico on the us side (usually the guys that work the window, the ones insede are generally pretty nice, i know about half of them personally as i had them as teachers where i went to high school ), as they can't understand the point of crossing the border on a daily basis just for fun .

But yeah with the current exchange rate (85 cents i believe), doing business in the states is getting fairly nice, and if you can get that kind of deal through this george fellow i'd go for it as getting items shipped to an addy different from a CC addy (if you pay this way) doesn't work sometimes.

Well not quite as good as I hoped. Most of the stuff is at least 50% more than in the catalog. My list added up to $1225 US based on the catalog and he quoted me approx. $2600 CA plus GST. Ouch.

Hmm. so straight currency conversion gets you to $1,453.22
Sounds like not so good a deal as others I have known.
Sorry for the bum steer, bud.

I won't hold it against ya! He quoted $360 each for the front fenders, they're listed in the catalog for $175 and I understand there is going to be some shipping cost on them, but all the rest of the stuff would fit in a box the size of a TV probably.

Lol, yeah that shouldn't be to much of a problem, depending on when its gets shipped out i may not be able to bring the stuff up to calgary till after x-mas break, the last weekend i'd be able to pick the stuff up (actually i'd get my dad or someone to pick the stuff up, as the warehouse is closed on the weekends) and bring it up would be the 9, or if you can wait sometime in the first week of january when i'm back up from the farm.

Oh and i hope you're not one thats fond of orginal shipping boxes (coughtogetthroughbordercough ).
