'05 F150 FX4 - Transmission Problem

I recently bought a 2005 F150 (new) with the FX4 package. I'm a first time Ford owner. I think the truck is great with the exception of the transmission. I began to notice a knock in the transmission at approximately 2500 miles. The knock occurs when I accelerate after coasting in stop-n-go traffic. When I reported this to the dealer their response was "this is a known occurrence" and "that the transmission is fine". In short, they don't recognize it as a problem and therefore can not/will not correct it. I've owned many cars and driven many more and never had a transmission behave like this before. Is anyone else experiencing this transmission problem?

Have them lube the transmission splines where the drive shaft is inserted. This is a known issue. They remove the driveshaft, apply silicon grease to the splines and re-install the driveshaft. The driveshaft has paint-dots that must be lined up with the yoke in the rearend. Be sure to check when you get the truck back. Reference TSB 04-01-06

Drivetrain Noise

Yes.... As Described I Think I Have The Same Exact Problem.... Took Mine Back To Dealer And They Serviced All The U Joints On Both Ends Of Front & Back Drive Line.... Still Does It...... I Am Equally Disturbed With Problem.... My Dealer Said Ford Will Not Authorize Repairs & Are Working On A Fix..... Whatever That May Be....
Please See My Other Post Under Drivetrains Noise/clunk...
Thanks

I'm having the same problem on my '05 5.4L XLT. when I slow down to take at turn (no complete stop) it seems to clunk when I touch the accelerator. When I do come to a complete stop it doesn't seem to do it.
