Exhaust burnt oil smell w/6637 filter
<hr style="color: rgb(102, 102, 102);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Since I put on my 6637 filter. I have noticed that my exhaust smells like burnt oil. I gotta say I like the smell of burnt diesel, not oil.
Is this normal? I would rather put the old box back on than smell this oil.

I would say that is your CCV (crank case vent) giving you that smell - in stock form, they vent right into the intake - and your motor ingests all that nasty stuff. I know I could always smell a hint of oil smell in my trucks exhaust, especially right after an oil change - I doubt it has to do with the new filter! If you don't like it - re-route the vent (CCV Mod) somehwere other than into the intake - that will take care of your smell!
