Tahoe still playing catchup
I attended a special first look at the 2007 Chevy Tahoe a few weeks ago in Dallas. Nice truck, but with the exceptition of the engines, they are still playing catchup. Rear suspension is still solid 5 link. Interior headliner & ac vents are just like my 04EB. Going to GM factory in Arlington tomorrow for more looks.

Let's just hope they don't catch the Expy in Sales- right now it's been about 2:1 Tahoes/Expy's for the year.

I'm afraid this market is going to shrink considerably due to the fuel situation. I haven't noticed Ford advertising but GM is pushing their fuel mileage. They are advertising (at least in my area) that their full size SUVs can get average fuel mileage at 20 and in the upper 20s on the highway. I suspect this may cause headaches for the dealer and the service departments when they get less.

Read the small print
Chevy's ads for 20 MPG is on their 2x4 models. They are not comparing apples to apples their 4x4 model is right about the same as an equally equipt EXPY. As a former Tahoe owner I prefer the EXPY 25 more horses and a better ride. Also there is no nav on a Tahoe as of 2005.

We're another ex-Suburban owner that had a '03 Expy. Liked the ride, the room, the brakes, and the interior design of the Expy, but thought it was really weak in the powertrain deptartment- both in power and gas mileage.
