Lift Kits

1 - Skyjacker F9402M & F940S & FA499 & 7199, 4" lift
2 - add-a-leafs
3 - Skyjacker H7041 & H7079 (blue boot)
4 - 35", Nitto Terragrappler 325/65-R18
5 - 3.73
6 - Shop
6a - N/A
7 - Very nice, but I don't have much of a reference point to compare
8 - Nothing
9 - $1507 for parts, $600 labor, $1680 for wheels/tires at TrickTrucks.com

Comments: Love the Nitto's and TrickTrucks was exceptional at not only helping me find the right look for the truck and they match internet prices for parts, but they also were obsessed with perfection and had me bring it back when the manager found out that there was blue cleaner left on the chrome wheels. They know their stuff. The Nittos are quiet...at least I can't hear them over the engine, so I am pleased.

2000/2006 8inch Lifts

I have installed two lifts on my 2000. The first was the Procomp 6inch all spring. Rode really rough! Then tried the Superlift 8inch kit all spring. The Superlift leafs had a bigger spring pack but still ride pretty rough.
So right now this is what I have.
1) Superlift 8inch lift
2) Front and rear leafs
3) Dual Procomp 9000s in front single rear
4) 38x17 Ground Hawgs
5) 4:88 gears with Lockright up front
6) EZ install
7) I would like to change the shocks to Bilstein 5150s and the springs to Skyjacker softride leafs.
9) $1500.00

I also installed a Fabtech 8inch lift on my freinds 2006.
1) Fabtech 8inch
2) Front coils, rear leafs
3) Fabtech Prologic Shocks
4) 38x20 Toyos
5) ?
6) Self
7) Takes sometime to remove factory coil buckets. They are rivited to the frame.
8) Nice ride in front with those big shocks and coils. The rear feels pretty rough. I would change the rear leafs.

I got a video on you tube of both trucks. YouTube - 2000/2006 Superduty

4 - What tires and size - 295 BFG AT - for now, just bought new tires, wheels that were recommended by shop caused rubbing (10" wide) next ones will be taller Now running 315 75-16 Pro-Comp
5 - Gear ratio and what would you go to - stock 3.73s, will eventually go to 4.10 Gears swapped to 4.56s
6 - Self install or shop - self install over 1 weekend
6a - If self install, how difficult and what problems - only problem was finding a puller to fir the pitman arm
7 - What is YOUR impression of the kit overall - would not hesitate to buy another Superlift
8 - If you could have, what would you change - only thing would be maybe go with adjustable shocks like ProComp or Rancho adjustables
9 - If you wouldn't mind, how much you paid for the LIFT - about $1500 total including dropped pitman arm, extended brake lines, adjustable track-bar ordered from different companies.
Made a few updates recently Indicated in green.

Superduty Tie Rods Update

I finnally installed a cross over steering knuckle, new drag link, tie rod, and after market steering stablizer.
I also removed the track bar and dont see any need for it. I think it would need the track bar with the factory leaf springs. Since the factory springs consist of three leafs, thats all that holds the axel to the frame.
My after market springs have ten leafs and are pretty stiff. I dont notice any differance with out the track bar. Check out the end of this video. The truck has very little sway.

Lift

Alright guys first time user on the ol ford forum not a first time owner everything I have owned has been a ford. Any way Got rid of my 03 Expedition. Im getting a 06 ford f250 super duty FX4 v10. The wife gove me the apporoval on a lift and tires. Im not the richest guy so as of now i have about $2000 to blow on a lift and tires. Every place I have talked to has been a bit over so if anyone else nows were else that has good products for a cheaper price holla at me. Any way my other question. The truck has 126000 miles on it. The truck Im buying from my old man so I know that it has been in the shop getting serviced when it has suppode to. It was a service truck that ran up and down the highway with a load of tools and stuff in the back. I was told not to lift it with bigger tires bc it will put more work load on the motor and it is at the mileage area were it will start blowing plugs and costing money. Is this true is it ok for a lift and bigger tires. I want a 5-6" lift and Im looking at 35" tires. Fill me in guys thanks
