CPS Question
I have a 2002 F350 PSD with 42K miles.
Is that about the time the CPS heads south???<O

Is that covered under warranty, even if the truck is bought used???
The problem I'm having is the truck, intermittently starts really poorly.
I estimate around every four or five starts, it runs really bad for 30 to 50 seconds.
Sometimes it even shuts down, but every time it clears itself up and runs fine. <O</OOnce or twice it would start running bad, like a skip in the engine or running on 6 out of 8 cylinders for a mile or so, but again, it would clear up.
The engine light came on twice for about 30 seconds, then went out.
From what I have read here, it sounds a little like the CPS.<O</O
Anyone have other suggestions.
I'm weary of the stealership, without having some background knowledge of my own first.

Mine did the same thing before it died. (i.e poor starts, strange idle.)
Then right as I was about to put it in the garage before Hurricane Rita, the CPS went and I just bearly got it home. After everything was said and done, I went down to international, got a CPS and everything was fine.
