Drivetrain thump?

I have a 05 FX4 3.73 LS, When I take off from a stop I after about 1-2sec's I feel a thump thats seems to be coming from the rear. It almost feels like I have a load in the bed that has shifted and hit the tailgate but there isn't anything back there. If anyone has any ideas or help please send it my way.

Well the only thing I think it could have something to do with is the Limited Slip, but I am not up to speed on them.

I have the same problem with my truck. What is the TSB as I saw no link for it????? My truck has already been in and had theTSB done for the greasing of the splines with no added improvement.

my dealer told me it needs a shim kit in the rear.they were on back order because so many people need them.

Derek, my truck had the shim kit put in to "reangle" the pinion angle. It still makes a clunking noise! To my knowledge, you only need to reangle the pinion angle if you put a body lift on a truck which would cause the angle of the u-joints to change and bind up. My truck is totally stock.
