lowering info.....

I am looking to lower my '78 F-150 a couple of inches to giver her a more aggressive stance (I know you guys say go big or go home, but I've got the lifted one and it's time for a change) and I am looking for some advice. I want to spend the least amount of money as I can for now, as I plan on doing a complete body off in a year or two. How low can I take the front end down without doing damage to my steering components and suspension, and do I need to buy new leafs for the back or can I just remove a few or change the configuration?
Any info you guys can give me would be great.

these trucks need drop i beams to lower them. and those are pricey.

is that 2wd or 4wd?

It's a 2wd. Never lower a 4x4, what's the point? I just think these old girls look sexy when they are dropped

second the drop i beams if u just put shorter springs or cut the springs it will throw the alignment off and wear the insides of the tires and yes drop i beams are expesive to the tune of about 650 a piece if i remember right i looked into it once
