Adding additional Ford options
Hey all;
A quick question. Is it possible to add option 61A (Deluxe Mirror Package) to a truck that has already been built. I'm looking at a new '05 F-150 FX4 Supercrew and this is the one option that I would like to have but is not currently on the truck. My local dealer doesn't have anything else on the lot that I'm interested in. I know Ford used to pre-wire a lot of options has the vehicle rolled down the assembly line, but I don't know if this would be one of them. Anyone know? Thanks.

The Deluxe Mirror Package (Power heated, turn signal, and auto-dimming rearview mirror) is a Model-Specific Package; Standard on the Lariat, optinal on the FX4 and XLT. Which means it is almost doubtful that the packaged wiring harness your hoped for XLT will contain unused wiring connectors that would mate to a Deluxe Mirror Package.
I do see where Moss Motors, www.F150store.com, carries a mirror with turn signals and heater.

I have a 2005 Lariat Screw. I wish the Lariat had the powerfold mirrors like the King Ranch. Anythoughts about adding one KR mirror to my Lariat and having it work? Once again correct wiring harness, mirror controller and programming?
