Well, my project F150 'grandpas truck update' is done... before and after Pics!

After your guys help to pick the right truck a few short months ago, I have now finished my project to get the truck to run better, look better and handle better for a reasonable cost.

I can honestly say that I am TOTALLY happy with the way the mods came together on this truck (In My Opinion of course). I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe I will upgrade the speakers, otherwise it's DONE.

Here is a before-

Grandpas truck, 88k miles, 5.8L Eddie Bauer 4x4

And now-

2" front Daystar spacers, Procomp rear add a leafs, Procomp ES-3000s, MSD 6A, MSD TFI Blaster, K&N Drop in, 3" 50 Series Flowmaster with SS tip, AVS front guard, Bushwhacker bed & tailgate covers and 265/70R17 Cooper Discoverer ATRs on 17x8" Diamond Back wheels.

One More before/after

Before-

After-

WOOOW! Now, thats a very nice, clean looking f-150.

Man, I loooove the posture of it. Those rims/tires really give it a great look. Why stop there, go into some engine mods

Thanks man! Far as future engine mods, since she is my daily driver, I want it to be as smooth, quiet and reliable as possible. Maybe some headers and an intake manifold with some porting work... Maybe...

Nice and clean. A foreign concept to me

Interesting choice in rims, definately not a "me-too" style. Cool.

Convert to mass-air, and mod away

Its nice. But the tires should be bigger. I would put 31's on it. I would do a billet grille, clear corners, remove the panzy steps, tint, stereo, Mass Air, CAI, Headers, Engine mods... the list goes on and on. But good job so far. Oh and it doesn't look like an offroad vehicle so keep it shiny. lol. Its a street truck. SWEET MAN!

looks good!

so after moose sends you the money to do all his "fixes" i am sure you will attack his list.

i like the macho steps.

front wheels look out of alignment, could be the photo.

i bet you park way far away from other vehicles in parking lots.

you need to mud it up and post a picture for moose.

Those tires are bigger then 31s! It had 31s on it. Those are almost 32s (like 31.6 OD or something). The perspective just look different with the 17" rims.

Probably won't do the billet grille or clear corners... I like billet grilles, but it just doesn't look right to me on this particular body style- only billet grille I would buy is one predone with the factory chrome shell around it and a nice blue Ford emblem in the middle. I have never been a big fan of the clear euro stuff, so scratch that.

honestly, I am done. White flag is going up. Just wanted to do a few custom mods to an otherwise regular daily driver.

Thanks!

Nice job!

Reminds me of the F-150 I had before the one I have now. Same color scheme on a really clean truck just like yours. Enjoy it!

Holy crap dude, that is exactly the stance and tire size I'd love to see on my truck I will have to use these pics as reference.
Good job!

P.S. - I love the look of those steps (i have the same on my EB) and keep the original grille!
