Temp guage not registering
I have a 1994 aerostar. Recently the temp guage stopped working. The only thing I did before that is cut the hoses for the heater core and splice them together. I did this because the heater core was leaking pretty bad. I put quite a bit of water in the radiator because of the leak. Is most likely the gauge itself, or perhaps a temp sensor?

I would first try replacing the temp sender on the thermostat housing. They run about $10 and they do go bad from time to time.
Then I would look at wiring, then I would say the gauge is bad. You might want to fo aftermarket for it.
