02 oil leak

Truck is 2002 PSD, 4x4 crew cab. 109k miles.

Saw some oil spots on the ground so I grabbed the creeper and took a look underneath. Oil pan has oil/dirt residue on it. Also, there are two metal tubes (1/4" dia. maybe?) towards the passenger side of the oil pan - one of these had oil beaded up and was where the oil was falling from.

I assume the oil is leaking somewhere else and running down the silver tubes to the lowest point and then falling into a puddle. Any ideas as to what this might be?

Truck is only 3 weeks old (to me) so I want to take it back to the dealer but I'm not sure how far this will get me.

Thanks,

-nick

I would go to the top of the engine ... seems there is a better chance of finding the leak up there in the valley pan. pedastal or turbo o rings or hpop oil line leaking. if it is lower, look at the cam position sensor o ring on the front of the cover (the timing indicator is the cam position sensor ) which has an o ring seal. hope this helps.

Sounds like the flange for the dipstick tube is leaking.
