Mine makes the same noise, I replaced the bushing today, and it's almost gone. It still does it making a right turn into an inclined driveway.

While I was replacing the bushings, I can see what is actually making the noise on mine. It's the sway bar connector lower bolt getting hung up on the spring. The spring has some marks on it, and the bolt head is starting to round off.

Replacing the bushings made a 90% improvement. On my truck, the passenger side sway bar connector is closer to the spring than the drivers side. Probably explains why I always here the noise on the passenger side. I have a Fabtech leveling kit which is just 3.5" front hangers. The kit did not include a track bar bracket, so I think the whole axle is pulled over making the sway bar link hit.

I posted on this quite a while ago and the noise went away for a while whent I replaced the sway bar links, but came back.

I guess I'll be buying either a dropped track bar bracket or an adjustable track bar. Probably the bracket. I thought about bending the sway bar links a tad to move it towards the drivers side, but I want a real fix.

etcetera - I have the Fabtech leveling kit too and even though they say it does not need a drop pitman arm and drop track bar bracket it needs both to eliminate bump steer. I used a SuperLift 4-inch drop pitman arm and drop bracket as Fabtech did not have either. You will also want an adjustable track bar to help center your axle. I also extended my sway bar end links to help eliminate the binding I was getting with it.

While I was at it I replaced my sway bar bushings with Energy Suspensions as I was getting a clunking too. I still have a little bit left in the truck and have tracked it down to the spring isolators as mine are shot.

Yeah, dropped pitman arm and track bar mount have been on my list for a long time now. Bump steer is there, but manageable.

I'm not looking forward to removing those track bar bolts.

I think the SuperLift drop pitman arm and track bar bracket cost me around $150 total. The bump steer wasn't terrible before I did it, but now it is back to feeling stock if not better. Removing the bolts on my truck wasn't too bad considering mine sees NY salted roads.

I'll order the parts tomorrow. The leveling kit was on my truck when I got it, so I don't even know what the stock ride is like. It didn't clunk when I first got it. It took about a year to start.

You will be amazed at how different your truck will feel. Much tighter steering response and no slop in the wheel. It really will transform your truck. Good luck on it.

The clunk from mine was a torn sway bar bushing and the clunk went away. A torn bushing on a brand new truck, it baffles me!

Update:

Installed track bracket and pitman today. Big improvement in how it rides and handles. Still have a clunk sometimes. I'm sure I need to extend the sway bar links, they are definetely still hiting the springs. I think i'll cut them and weld some steel tubing over the shaft to extend. I've got some tubing that's almost a press fit.

My Ford dealer claims he cannot order the plastic shims that live between the leaves of the front leaf springs on a '99 F250 Crew/V10/4x4 - he can only order an entire spring pack. Does anyone have the part number of the shims? Are they still sold separately?

Thanks

Steve

I have the same problem, and went to the Energy Suspension, web site, man is this site horrible. I found a 32 MM part number 4.5186 complete front sway bar bushing set. But there isn't any way I can purchase it from enegy suspension, trying to find the cart section is also a nightmare, I also need shock eye bushings but couldn't find then at their site. can anyone give me a telephone number so I can talk to a person on this issue. I buy lots of things on the internet, but this is the worst site to buy anything! but good products, maybe the webmaster is a 14 year old with pimples, and they don't have to pay much to the developer, in return for products!

Most manufacturers don't sell direct, and if they do it's almost always a bad price (at least if they also sell through retailers). Check summitracing.com, or Jegs.com . I'm sure there are better places price wise, but I know for sure Summit has that part.

Energy Suspension's phone number is (949) 361-3935

The correct part number is 4.5186 G. These are the black ones that have graphite in the formula for sqeak free operation.
I purchased my Energy Suspension componets from the neighborhood NAPA Auto. They have will have to order them but have access to the complete line.

Edit: Look! Something's giving me GIANT text!

Thanks, folks,(Energy Systems) I'm new here and there are many questions I've had about my 200 F350 and have received many answers. I will go to NAPA and order my parts today, again thanks.
