I recently purchased this transmission w/ 292 engine for dirt cheap. The transmission appears to be rebuilt (fairly new paint on it) but I am not certain. It turns with out any grinding noises. Here is the casting # from the side of the case:
C3AR-7006-E

I know it is a Ford 3-Speed Column shift. But the more I know about it the better for me to sell it. E-mail me andyt59@cableone.net if you would like to see pictures of it or you can provide info.

That trans is the same as I bought for my truck. Its a 64 standard 3 speed (should have a small tag bolted on with HEF AT ######) and I am putting it in my 54 f100. i got mine on Ebay for $1.00, yes $1.00.
It was listed by a wife for the husband...not to worry, he worked me over on the ship cost. I now am having it rebuilt but having problems with internal parts search to fix it.
I might want to buy yours just to have a back-up trans for the future.
