Detroit

Hey all, I'm headed to Detroit in a week on business and wondered if anyone had suggestions on what to do while I'm there. I've never been anywhere near there and don't know much about it.

Thanks

"The Henry Ford" is an excellent museum for antique machinery, firearms, period stuff and has an IMAX theater. Greenfield Village has old houses, shops and historic displays outdoors and is attached to The Henry Ford. Located in Dearborn, they have a web site you can browse.

Red Wings, not in season. Pistons, not in season. Lions, not in season. The Tigers have a nice new stadium downtown called Ford Field. You can browse their web site for schedules and prices.

Several casinos downtown and more across the river in Winsor, Canada.

That sounds good, I think I'll have to check out the Ford museum and the casinos. Are the casinos like Vegas or like Indian Reservation?

Thanks

More like Vegas without the high outside temperatures.

So that's what they named the new stadium. Last time I actually went downtown, Dennis Archer was still the mayor, John Engler was the governor and gas was under $2.
