The wait to start light wire needs to be connected to the white terminal where you installed the push button lead instead of to the wire it is hooked to now. The light is powered by the ignition switch, it just needs a ground to make it come on.

Thats a big relief, it means I don't have to crawl under the hood again.

I now solved the glowingproblem but I stil don't know what the cause of the fealure was.

You have to get to the controller to do the rewire, that is where the white wire and the wait to start wires are connected.
