?? '05 Scab with 3K miles on it. Steering gear box and tie rod adjustment threads are already quite rusty. Ditto for a number of rivets in the frame.
Am planning on taking a wire brush to as many as possible and then paint.
Also debating on what to do with the rear u-bolts - they are getting rusty too.
Oh yeah, almost forgot - differential cover is also rusting in spots...
OK, rust on most of the above won't really affect functionality, but will sure have an effect on maintenance down the road. Besides I don't like it!

I hear ya! I hate rusty crap, especially as **** as I am about cleaning my stuff. The only thing you can do is clean it and touch it up with some paint. Tedious it is.
Don't come up to Ontario(Canada) where we lather our roads with salt in the winter time. We have to give our vehicles a oil treatment every year to protect it from turninng to "Dust in the wind"(from that commercial I have seen)
