warns vs. mile markers for manuel hubs
aright, i would like to start a new thread on this topic because after reading all of the other threads, it seems that no one can come to a decision. so from all i can tell is that warns are the time tested hubs that most people can identify with. where as, mile markers seems to be what some call a cheaper, but equal in quality alternative...imput?

Its a toss up as the other threads suggest. BOTH are time, trail, and mutiple truck tested products that have excellent service records. Its a matter of opinion or personal taste, experience, etc. My advice would be to research the FACTS about construction, materials used, and warranty of the individual products. Opinions are going to be just that. I haven't met a manufacturer yet that isn't EAGER to tell you about their product and how its made... especially when it comes to these types of components.

Warn Premiums....
They're both pretty good hubs but if you drive in wet environments I would get the Warn Premiums over the Mile Markers. I had Mile Markers before and they let moisture get into the hub and contaminate the grease inside the hub, trashing a set of bearings. I have Warns on there now and no sign of moisture during one of my recent hub maintenance days. The Mile Markers were heavier and used iron where Warn uses aluminum but the Warns keep out the water better.
