Parking Brake Light
I've noticed that the RED indicator light for the parking brake on my 00 F-350 only gones on sometimes. Even when the brake is to the floor sometimes it fails to "catch" the switch that turns on the light on the dash. I always set my parking brake when I park my truck, but sometimes I forget it's on when the light doesn't turn on and I'll drive a block or 2 with the brake on. Does anybody else have this problem? I know I had the problem on my 99' F-250 as well. I was hoping that it is something simple that needs to be adjusted or lubed?

The switch is probably going bad. Its a common part that needs replacement on the SD's, and is very cheap at the local dealer. Takes about 5 min. to change. You can see it on the parking brake pedal assembly, with a single wire going to it.
