Motor Magic anyone?

Motor Magic anyone?
Just wondering if anyone here went to motor magic in minot this last weekend, and how it turned out. I wanted to go, but with gas prices at $3.14 and me with no cash right now, it didn't happen. (Plus I had a friend up from Rapid City who was willing to go and get drunk with me at Bucks, and my sister came over from Dickinson.) Oh well, next year I'm gonna try to have a car for the enduro.

I went up there saturday. It was a pretty good time, but I got somewhat bored by myself--one buddy was farming and all the rest are away at college while I'm stuck in HS. They had a nice '66 GTO for sale at the auction, but I didn't have the money...my dad's always wanted a GTO, though prefers the '65s. I think I saw about everything in the 4 hours I was there.
The "Heros Truck" was just plain amazing. The attention to detail on that truck was unreal. Every corner, crack, and crevase was custom painted to remember hereos of 9/11 and the war in iraq. The motor, tranny, and the rest of drivetrain was all chrome. They only complaint I have about it is that you wouldn't dare get it muddy, and lifted trucks are meant to get dirty IMO. I'll post some pics in my gallery later on in case you've never seen it.
The drag races were pretty good, but I've never seen so many red lights in my life. I think 5 out of 8 people red lighted...it was horrible. Even with the red lights there were some pretty close races.
All in all I think it went off without a hitch. I never made it to the enduro, but wish I would've. Maybe I'll see ya there next year!
