Best Way to Remove Seat Belts - Any Tips Appreciated!
Hey supercab4x4 - I know about the Torx, just wondering if there are any special tricks or if it is just brute force! NO I am most definately not parting out the one in the gallery! I bought a VERY ROUGH one that is Blue. It is a shame, but it is too far gone to save. :-(
Grandads76 - I didn't know there was any special tools - will have to check out local stores up here in the north (Canada). Thanks!
Cheers!

First soak the lower bolt threads with PB Blaster or other penetrant and then use a torx T-50 or T-45 bit with a socket wrench. Carefully unscrew the bolts and make sure the bit doesn't strip as the bit can twist if the bolt is stuck. I've replaced belts and a seat and twisted and broken a couple of Lisle bits because the bolts were stubborn. I hope this helps.

Half inch inpact gun and a torx bit worked for me. Several times, But you can just use alot of muscle and a braker bar also. And if you are going to buy a torx bit invest in a set. I know the price will be higher but you will be thanking yourself if you need another size down the road and have it handy.

As far as the location for putting the pen-oil on, just crawl under your truck and look for the welded on square nuts right under where the seatbelts bolt in. You will see the bolts coming through the bottom. This goes for the outside as well as the middle ones. Hope this helps, if you haven't figured it out already.
