1954 for 12 volt with new wire kit?
My truck had already been converted to 12 v. with generator. Does anyone who has already installed a universal kit know of a good wire diagram to go by?
I have a 21 circuit universal wire kit (wont use all 21) and want to run it clean... but correct for a 12 volt., so I can't follow my book's 6 volt setup exactly. Can I use a 1956 f100 wire diagram?
thanks for any help. Ed
ps....My truck is completely torn down so there is not really a wire harness in place to duplicate, I have a clean slate!

Ed, I'm not sure I understand what you'd like to know. If the truck has been totally converted to 12V, use the 56 F-100 diagram and it will be "correct" for a 1956 F-100. I don't know if your wiring harness has all the "correct" colors and striping for the 1956 F-100. The alternative is to use the instructions that came with the wiring harness.
Are you asking how to strip down the wiring harness you have to get a "correct" 1956 F-100 harness for your truck?

Hi Earl, you hit it. I wanted to know for sure if the 56 f100 diagram would work. I have instructions with the new harness but they sometimes dont take all into account.
The stock harness that was changed to a 12 v gen. is brittle and all the color codes have faded away and had been cut and repaired to the point of confusion.
I have a 56 wire diagram that I will use.
thanks for the help.
