Question Front End Support Rods

Thanks to Jag Red & Joe Gaddy for their inspiration on the Hood and Front end Sheet metal I got my support Rods out and started to intall them...
Only to snap off the threaded end trying to slack off the Rod by loosening the nuts
I'd like to do the "joe Gaddy Hood Modification" and was wondering if anyone had a couple of pair sets hanging around?

Whoa Merc. It is the Jag Red hodd mod. I can take no credit, other than being a copy cat. Actually, I did not use the threaded end, I cut them off. I did exactly what Jag did, although I did not make my side brackets the same. Rather than a slot I just made a hole for the rod. Really you could use heim ends and thread both ends of a straight rod. Joe
