5spd vs 6spd? 3.73 vs 4.10?

I'm going to purchase a used F-350 with 7.3 diesel to haul my Lance cabover camper. Does it make much difference whether I get a manual 5 speed or 6 speed? Will the truck haul well with the standard 3.73 rear end... or should I look for a 4.10?

Dr Sky. I have a 99 f350 that I bought from a guy that had a 12 1/2' Lance on it , He weighed it out at 12,000 lbs. So I would say 6 speed and 3.73 gears as it worked fine for him. The difference between the 5 & 6 speed is in the 1st gear the 5 speed seems a little high to start out in unless you use granny. 99 and up have the 6 speeds or auto don't know how far back you can get a 6 speed. Dought your rig will weigh as much as mine did with previous owner. He had a years supply of canned foods in cupboards and usually an engine block or tranny that he'd pick up along the way.
