Right Signal Switch Affects Shifting and Cruise

F150 Truck is in the sig:

Anybody have a thought?

When I use my right turn indicator (left is no problem), my truck will:

1. Act like it shifted up a gear
2. If cruise is on, it will turn off.

Thanks for your input,

Bill

Check for pinched or comprimised wires for the OD switch. You will need to remove the steering wheel surround and ignition switch to acess fully. Had same problem only it was the left turn position.

Hmm... I drove from Denver to Pittsburgh like that... everytime I used the right blinker to get out of the hammer lane the cruise would quit... not quite fun!

Thanks for the post... I'll check my bulbs.

I have a 97 T-Bird that does that when a blinker/brake goes out.
