Mustang and truck harness

Is the wiring harness for the 5.0 mustangs with a AOD the same as a 5.0 F-150 with a AOD? I'm trying to find out if I can use a AEM standalone engine managment system in my truck. The only problem is it is designed for the 84-93 fox body mustang. I'm also wanting to replace my fuel injection harness with one made by Painless Performance which is also designed for a 84-93 fox body mustang. Painless makes an extra long harness to eliminate any problems with wire length. My truck is a 1991 F-150 with a E40D and I'm willing and capable of wiring the E40D to a transmission controller system. Would the rest be plug and play?

It won't be plug and play. Most all of the connections are the same, but it's the length and orientation of everything that is different. The computer in a mustang is located inside the passenger compartment on the passenger side of the car, while the truck has the computer near the drivers feet, all the way on the left of the truck.

The mustangs are also mass-air, and the truck speed density.

Here are the pinouts of the two EEC's, 92-94 F-series, and 90-93 Mustang. I also have a partically complete 92 Crown Vic EEC listed, but I haven't gotten around to finishing typing the chart in. I was going to hack into one, but never got around to it.

Speed Density/MAF EEC Chart

And if useful, a listing of most/all of the Ford codes:

Would it work if I bought the Ford Racing MAF kit and a standalone transmission control unit for the E40D then? Or is the plastic connector to the wiring harness different from trucks that have the AOD? I would use the Lightning kit since it has controls for the E40D but it's no longer available. I think I'll make a howto with pictures and etc if the 5.0/5.8 kit will plug into my harness and work.

I purchased the ford racing MAF kit M-9000-T51. I will buy a tranny controller later on. Down the road I want to put a larger meter and larger injectors on. I know the injectors requiring reprogramming but how about a 75mm MAF sensor? Can the Tweecer control all of that?

I'm sorry for all the redundant questions.
