Owasso car show on Wed. Nite
I saw in our local paper that Friendship Baptist Church is having a FREE car show On the 24th. Starts at 7:00pm. They are supposed to have a car bashing which my son wants to do. I'm thinking of taking him, but I can only go for a couple hours, as I'll have to go to work that night.

Here's the details on the show from the Owasso Reporter newspaper online. I'll be in class until about 7pm. I'll probably swing by on the way home to see what's goin on. (FYI, a buddy of mine in Owasso might have his '40 Cheby pickup, blue in color, in the show.)

OK, I talked to my buddy last night as I was waxing the '69 GT-350.
Here's what we'll be bringing:
'67 Shelby GT-350 (Seen Here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...=86985&width=0 )
'69 Shelby GT-350 (I'll be bringing this one!)
'96 Roush Stage 1 Convertible
'68 Camaro SS Convertible (The only REAL Chebby!)
That won't empty his garage, but that's what is running right now.
Stop out and take a look if you get the chance!

hehe... I'm gonna be there, though I may be just a couple minutes late because my Acct. class doesn't let out until 6:45 or so (that is unless Tim's friend wants me to drive one of his cars out there... hehe... I'd be on time then!).

It was good seeing ya'll, Tim, Mike, Steve, Stan. I was impressed by the turnout and quality of vehicles. Mike that is one sweet T-bird. Thanks for letting me sit in it. Very impressive car. That would be a fun road trip vehicle to take down Route 66 or to the Tulsa Drive In Theater. And Tim, you still had a lot of tread on the rear tires of that GT-350. I don't know if I would have been able to restrain myself in one of those. hehehehee That big Yellow Bronco was clean enough to eat off of. And did ya'll see that amazing white 60 something Ford pickup? Man, that thing was amazing. And the big ol' rims and rubber just made it stand out. Oh, and I know they weren't fords but the two biggest street trucks with monster meats and feets of lift were too cool. Standing at 6'-1" I could not see over the middle of their tailgate at eye level. Just amazing what can be done to a truck. I recognized some of those vehicles from the MidAmerica Car Show and a few local show cars. That was just too cool. I hope ya'll won something Mike and Tim.

Sure was glad to see one of those Shelby's win last night. I still want a ride in one eof them.
Thanks for the nice comments for my T-bird. It still needs a lot of work. I didn't win anything, nor did I expect to. It doesn't stand out in peples memories like the Mustangs, Camaros, mid to late Chevy and Fords do. My son and I had fun just walking around and looking at the hard work people have put into their cars. My wife said she could smell raw fuel out the exhaust, so I guess I still have a little carb tuning to do on it.

Had a great time last night. Sorry it got so late that the Shelby rides didn't happen. (Except for Stan begging for a ride.)
Here's a few pictures from the show:

Mike, I love that car! Can't wait to see it with the buckets and console in it!

(Ron, this car made Stan scream like a little girl when I took him for a ride! )

I don't think the church expected as many cars to turn out but it was a great show!
Later,
Tim
