Hi,
If anyone has a proportioning valve to sell for a 1991 Bronco XLT 351 Auto, please let me know. Dealers valves are too expensive and can't get one at junk yard.

It all started with my drivers side rear brakes getting too much pressure and locking up which burned my brakes. Thought at first my emergency brake lines were gumed up from off road so replaced them along with slave cylinder in the wheel. I had already replaced the Master cylinder a while ago so I almost have a new system. Anyway, went to go get emissions today and the way, my rear brake started again. They only way I can let the wheel free is to pop the bleed valve to release the pressure. So in emissions, the back wheels would not stop and I couldn't get emissions done. Bronco sits until I get a proportioning valve.

If someone else has a suggestion for the fix, feel free to shoot something over but I think I have it on target what the problem is.

You mean the rear abs valve? I got mine a autozone for around $100. They had to special order it.

 

My 1988 302 was/is doing the same thing. I have had it diagnosed as a bad pro valve. I am now looking for inexpensive alternatives to the dealership.
