I must have explained how to put it in good enough then... glad you got it in already, gotta be better than that shot slider!
Like I said, I couldn't get by too long without a torch, has been well worth the investment for me, I use it regular for scrapping and for building things as well.

i didnt break a single bolt switching out those inners today, i did grind off two that were spinning. it took about 4 hours to do the swap. i took a ton of pictures of the before and after and during to show what the problems were that appeared from swapping a 73 inner fenders with 1970 inner fenders. i will explain all that later when i post the pictures and give ya all a link to see the project. but i gotta go to work now, i gotta be in greenbay at 6am. see ya.

y, I had it all... but with some many projects - they went with the rest of the truck when I sold it. The inners I have seen on the 73-79s all looked like they are galvanized or something - guess they learned after making them like my 69s. My hoood hinges are all but torn away as the inner fenders are totally rotted where the hinges stress on them.

Inner fenders being the things on each side of the engine that ALL the crap bolts to? Lord, I'd cry if I had to. Luckily...my truck has only 5 or 6 little less-than-dime-sized spots of rust just behind the front driverside tire on the fender metal, and then just little hints under both bumpers. Course, I'm probably going to sell it and get one with lots of rust lol so it doesn't matter.

it's easiest to just pull the clip and switch them out that way, and I'm sure that exactly what he did. They aren't all that bad to pull, it took less than half an hour to pull the clip off the donor truck. It was pretty clean for the age, I suspect the clip is newer than the truck, the rest of it is nothing but rust... the front fenders and inners are clean as they get. Even the rad support looked pretty good, no rust through on it either...
