Best Lift Height and Tire/Rim Combination
#16
Hey fabian and Reave1, we all are on the same page with wheels and tires. Fordskier wants to max out with 35's (how will that affect tranny?), and lift kit. I say go for it Dude. For sure a leveling kit and 33" (305) on 17" is the first step for most owners if they want to get rid of that horrible nose down look. Its hard to believe that Reave1 doesn't have a leveling kit. Fabian you really added some nice extras on your truck. I like the bull bar. I took off my grill guard. It just didn't do for me. I think the bull bar is far nicer and less in weight. I was also thinking of installing a cat back set up (Banks) and FIPK. Computer chip, perhaps as well. I like the racing pedals as an extra thought, and even thinking of putting on big mud flares and windshield visor (lighted). Back up lights and then let my bank account take a breather. AH, what truck owners have to do to bring it up to what Ford should have first done. I wonder if Ford's design department is accepting applicants from 43 yo residential builder. Or at least adviser. If and when Ford comes out with the long anticipated baby powerstroke diesel for the F150, I was wondering if I could swap engines. This of course depends on the expected mpgs. Currently I get 22 on highway going 55-60. Not a big fan of speeding to the next fill up, especially now with gas ready to hit $3 for regular.
If any of you people check out Pro Comp's web page, they tricked out a cool looking F150 and it looks like it has a 6" lift with 35" That would really look cool. However we are talking about $1500 more to getter dun that way. But, it might be worth it.
Always looking for more input and photos. One can only learn from others. Tedmeister
