Crazy gas prices hittin' the area. . .

Geeze!!! I filled up today for the first time in nearly 2 weeks. . .$2.46 a gallon! That was just a local gas station, the BP stations are hitting $2.65!!
If it gets any higher, I may have to sell my green truck for a Ranger, or get a bicycle It pains me to think what it will be like running my 460 powered monster, I hope I get can get it on the road before it hits $3

Where are yall at and what are you paying? And how long has been at that price? 2 weeks ago it was $2.20 ish here

Thumbs down

sick...

I'm tellin ya, it was 2.59 on the way in from Deep Creek this morning

The same Citgo station has raised the price 5 times out of the last 6 times I've passed it!!!!

This is ridiculous, I may have to look for an Escape hybrid..

naw, in reality an Escape would only get me 10 more mpg & more ins & a car payment that I currently don't have (or want)

I'd get another bike but there have been 45 thefts in the Hampton roads area in the last month I read
plus the traffic makes it dangerous as a DD

I have noticed some people going a bit slower on the highway..

I still drive 100 miles to work each day. I buy between 5.4 and 6.4 gallons five days a week, plus 2 saturdays a month. gas goes up on a daily basis around my house. I bought it this morning at $2.59. God knows what it will be this time tomorrow...

I hope that it will go down a little bit, but I think $2/gallon is a memory. Stupid oil conglomerates!!

Bicycling is really starting to appeal to me. Great cardio exercise and dosen't cost a dime. Just put on a orange vest and hope it doesn't rain. Temperatures are on the downturn also. Sounds better every day.

I had to make a speed run to Nebraska this last week and diesel went up over 25 cents a gallon in 5 days. I paid $2.70 a gallon in WVA . I've started using the motorcycle for all the running I can, but even that is getting outrageous. When are the tidewater area guys going to get together for breakfast again?

It goes up so much week to week, I keep looking around for cheaper prices thinking I am getting gouged at just one station. It is all of them though. I am thinking of buying a motorcycle this winter once I have the car paid for.

Ok, you have it cheep right now down here in the FL state. I just got riped at 2.69 for reg. And there said it could be up to 5.00 per gal. by 2006.

Violjohn78, What is there to do in Christianburg? I'm going to be up there Oct.1 for 2 to 3 days and then moving north.

Well I got my truck at 2.28 on sunday, and did my escort yesterday at 2.76 i needed it and glad i didn't wait later for i would have paid 20 cents mroe a gallon. prob even mroe now.

As far as what's to do in Christiansburg, depends on waht you're looking for have mall, movies a few good places to eat/drink. Roanoke has a bit more stuff (45 min north) it's all bigger though.

Man, they can change the gas prices so fast here that the big signs are not read that the pumps are. This really sucks.
