Question 1995 F250 HD Powerstroke Diesel stiff suspension

I just bought a very nice 1995 low mileage F250 HD pickup with a power stroke 7.3L engine a couple of months ago and I love it. It is a real work horse. The only thing that could be better would be if I could figure out how to soften the ride. As long as I have a load in the bed, this thing rides like a cadi. I understand on the newer models the suspension has been changed to furnish a softer ride. Is there anything I can do to mine short of putting a newer suspension under it? If you have suggestions, please email them to me at (Click Here to find out why email addresses are removed from posts.). Thanks.

My '97 is the same way, but that's why I'm a FORD man. Because I want to know I'm driving a truck! But really, new shocks may be the only way. Adjustables, that is. I'm lifting mine next year, with a shackle flip that will increase ride quality.

The first thing you can start with is tires you never meantioned what size or brand the truck is running right now. The smoothest riding tire is the Michelin LTX M/S it will help with the ride upgrading the shocks will help too.

I don't know what vehical you got out of and started driving the F-250 but you are gonna have to expect a rougher ride. You never said if the truck is a 2wd or a 4wd if its a 4x4 the TTB front suspension and axle isn't a smooth rider. If the truck is a 2wd the twin I beam suspension is okay a good set of tires fixes it.

You think your truck rides rough drive a F-450 I have two of them one is a 89 the other is a 95 both diesel. The 95 does ride slightly smoother I don't know why.
