To Seafoam or Not to Seafoam...

How's it going? Since I've joined this awesome forum a year or 2 ago, I've heard lots of things about Seafoam, mostly good. I've a '97 Expedition 4x4 4.6 and it just turned over to 100,000 miles. I've been taking of it pretty good and it's running great. I was thinking of picking up a couple cans of Seafoam at Autozone later this week but I have a couple of questions. I've read you should change out your plugs, fuel filter, and oil as soon as you're finished. Now I'm not pouring any into my crankcase, just a can into the brake booster and the gas tank. I've recently changed my oil and I'm running on Mobil 1, so all is good there. I'm about to change my fuel filter anyway, so I'm not really worried about that either. I just changed out my plugs today. Replaced the Denso Iridiums that I bought with good ol' Motorcrafts. I've read sometimes doing the Seafoam will put some deposits on the plugs and hinder their performance, and then again I've read that's it's fine. Which is it? Like I said, I got 100,000 miles and haven't Seafoamed before, so I suspect a lot of crap will get blown out the exhaust. I don't want this ruining my o2 sensors or making other clogs and such. What do you guys think?

Don't use your brake booster line It will flood the rear cylinders on a mod motor. Use your PCV line instead. I use seafoam in all my motors 2 stroke & 4 stroke with great results

Please forgive the ignorance but what exactly is Seafoam and how is it applied?

Carbon cleaner of some sort?

Thanks,
CMOS
