I have an 89 E.B. Bronco With a 302 that has just been pulled and rebuilt. Removed the fuel injection system and went with The Edelbrock package, carb intake, cam, Hooker Headers. The problem is now the shift points with my trans are all over the board. never the same and at cruising speed I lose OverDrive.
By the way the trans is an AOD. The Bronco Rides on 33,12.50 tires. Any info would greatly help!!!!!!!!!!
AOD transmissions do not use vacuum to shift.
Your throttle linkage needs adjusting. The best way is with a pressure gauge.
If it is driven very far with low pressure the transmission will self destruct in no time at all.
